Printed By Us Opens at Orchard Square

Orchard Square has announced that the opening of Printed By Us, an award-winning social enterprise business, owned by Cathedral Archer Project.
The Archer Project, Orchard Square’s chosen charity for 2022, is a Sheffield community charity that helps homeless and vulnerable people change their lives for the better. Based less than a mile from Orchard Square, within purpose-built premises at Sheffield Cathedral, the dedicated team help those in most need by developing their independence and overall well-being to increase their chances of employment.
The Archer Project’s Printed By Us uses technology for social good: running workshops to teach vulnerable people the craft of hand screen printing and selling the exclusive art prints, mugs, t-shirts and sweaters via online and in shops, to now include the newly opened venue at Orchard Square.
All the profits from selling the products and services are put back into running more screen-printing workshops and developing our project.
Commenting on the new store at Orchard Square, Terry Murphy, from The Archer Project, said: “As a city centre-based charity we are extremely grateful to the support from Orchard Square, located just around the corner from the Cathedral.
“At Printed by Us, we believe there is hope and a way forward for every person. Run as a social enterprise, all our profits go back into running more screen printing workshops, developing our project and supporting more vulnerable adults, most of whom have experienced homelessness, into employment.”
Orchard Square Manager, Shay Murray, commented: “Orchard Square is very proud to support the Archer Project in their ongoing work across our local communities to help people in real need.
“Printed By Us offers positive change to vulnerable people to learn new skills, build confidence and move forward towards fulfilling lives.
“We are delighted to be able to host a Printed By US shop in the Square, supporting the project and offering our visitors high quality printing on ethically made garments. We wish the team at Printed By Us in Orchard Square all the very best in their new location.”
Printed By Us opened on October 22nd and is open Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday 9am until 6pm and Sunday 11am until 5pm.
