Pete Mckee Easter Trail at Orchard Square
Sheffield’s celebrated artist Pete McKee is joining forces with Leah’s Yard and Orchard Square to launch a free family Easter trail celebrating local creativity and community spirit.
Running from Saturday 28th March until Sunday 12th April, the Pete McKee Easter Egg Hunt invites families to explore two of Sheffield’s most characterful city-centre destinations in search of McKee-designed Easter eggs hidden around both locations. Once the full set is discovered, participants can return to Pete McKee’s shop in Leah’s Yead with the magic number in order to collect a reward!
Children completing the trail will receive a complimentary Easter bonnet kit to decorate, alongside exclusive discounts and vouchers from Orchard Square’s independent retailers and cafés – encouraging families to make a day of their Easter outing in the heart of the city centre.
To add to the festivities, free Easter Bonnet Decorating Workshops will take place at both Orchard Square and Leah’s Yard – follow on socials for more info!
Commenting on the trail, Orchard Square Manager Shay Murray said: “The collaboration between Orchard Square, Leah’s Yard, and Pete McKee celebrates Sheffield’s unique blend of art, heritage and independent retail – creating a free, fun, seasonal event that will bring people into our vibrant and dynamic city centre.”
Peter added: “I hope everyone enjoys the first McKee Easter Egg Hunt. It’s been exciting putting the hunt together – and I’m looking forward to seeing the easter bonnet designs!
Have a great holiday, all. I’ll be spending Easter eating as much chocolate as possible and trying to keep little Eric out of trouble!”
